yesterday, a request came to me via a message from a gay adoption listserve that i belong to. it read:

"...i am doing a paper for my english class on why gays and lesbians should be able to adopt children..."

as i read, the answer was crystal clear;

my friend,

u ask simply:

"why should gays and lesbians be able to adopt children?"

i answer simply:

"why not?"
