no title

two weeks ago, i traveled to norway with my two young'uns. mainly because my grandmother had gotten seriously ill. i had not planned on going to norway this year, the airfare and everything was really not in our budget at this time. im a full time student, since that is the only way i can legally stay with my family in the u.s. tuition and other school expences is really draining our budget and of course i am not allowed to work or earn money in anyway on a student visa.

today, 2 weeks after i arrived in norway, my grandmother died. i held her hand and stroked her hair and she quietly took her last breath. it was peaceful but easily the most upsetting and difficult time of my life. i dont know wether to cry or stare quietly into empty space. i thank the gods i was able to see her again before she went. im grateful that i have a visa that makes it safe for me to travel out of the u.s. without worrying about not being able to return to my house and family in the states. for now.

even in my grief i want to share a story with u. this link will take u to a youtube clip of mrs. tan, testifying before the senate about her family's fight to stay together. please, help her and help us and all of the 36 000 other couples like us in the u.s. watch this clip and contact ur representatives.

im all out of tears.

for my grandmother, for me, for my kids, for mrs. tan, for her kids.

please

help us

all 36 000 of us

I'm so sorry for your loss. So sorry.

I thought of you and yours when I watched the videos and will do whatever I can to make sure that this changes.

Safe trip home.
